3D EXPERIMENTAL ANIMATION

Footsteps on the Stairs

Title: Footsteps on Stairs
Year: 2025
Platform: Blender
Description: This 3D animation is inspired by Antwerp by Roberto Bolaño, especially the short piece Footsteps on Stairs. The text describes memory as blurry, unstable, and dreamlike, filled with fragments like shadows, hallways, and distant voices. Moments that once felt emotional lose clarity over time, and memory blends truth with imagination. I connected this idea to my experiences with sleep paralysis and created an animation that reflects that hazy, disoriented state. Through soft lighting and floating forms, the piece explores how the past can feel ghostly, unreliable, and half remembered.

  Serendipity

Title: Serendipity (Physics Experimentation)
Year: 2025
Platform: Blender
Description: This project was created for a class assignment focused on serendipity and experimentation with Blender physics. I explored fluid simulation by dropping a small hand sanitizer bottle into a sink filled with water. The animation studies how gravity, impact, and liquid motion interact to create unexpected, satisfying visual moments.

A Snow Day

Title: A Snow Day
Year: 2025
This project is a landscape exploration created in Blender. I designed an icy environment with mountains and experimented with lighting to create atmosphere, depth, and a sense of surreal space.

Cubism Experimentation

Title: MFA Cubist Study
Year: 2025
For this assignment, we visited the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and selected a painting to reinterpret. I chose an untitled cubist work because of its depth, shadows, and geometric structure. In Blender, I experimented with lighting, shadow, volume, and form to create a 3D image that captures the feeling of a cubist painting.
